The main tasks and activities are as follows: Responsibilities: Develop Business Intelligence solutions using a portfolio of BI tools (ODI & OBIEE) and other underlying technologies (PL/SQL, SQL & Oracle Databases). Develop dashboards & reports from the baselined (already established) business requirements Contribute to Datamodelling activities through the Oracle Repository Management of Oracle service desk calls Liaise with business users and the System Integrator developing the solution Required Skills: Essential Minimum of 3 years analysis experience in a corporate environment Experience of delivering to deadlines & able to work with others to deliver objectives Significant BI Development skills in ODI/OBIEE (V.11 or 12) & PL/SQL Dimensional modelling, including applicability to various reporting problems. Commercial Officer Location: South West England Duration: 6 months [initially] EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: Sopra Steria is currently recruiting for a Commercial Officer to join a new team, based on site at a key Government client in the South West of England. The team will be involved in providing a solution to deliver secure access to information services for users across various locations in the UK and overseas, providing a configurable network that has a single sign-on. This contract is for an initial six months, with the option to extend for at least another six beyond that, and will support the Commercial team in all commercial aspects of the programme and business objectives. On client's instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance to a high level. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY: To develop cost effective programmes, procurement & support strategies: To support procurement of Goods and Services in line with business requirements and in accordance with current EU and UK Law, Departmental Regulations, Government Policy and Government Strategies within the limits of your delegated authority and in support of business objectives. To manage contracts & contract documentation in accordance with current EU and UK Law, Departmental Regulations, Government Policy and Government Strategies. To ensure the approvals and assurance processes, both local and departmental, are applied with rigour to all Proposed Procurements. To monitor supplier performance and keep Line Management & Head of Commercial aware of all issues through the Head of Commercial Supplier Management Point of Contact. To engage with Industry as appropriate for the role. To provide commercial advice to stakeholders in pursuit of robust Business Cases and Procurement Strategies. To share knowledge and mentor other commercial staff in order to develop the commercial functional skills base.
