The Emergency Department Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for maintaining patient records, transcribing physician orders, performing computer duties designated to the area, and organizing the unit, in order to promote an efficient delivery of care to patients. This position facilitates communication between physicians, nurses, patients and visitors, and acts as a liaison with all other internal departments and external contacts.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terms is essential.
Required length and type of experience:
Prefer recent medical and computer experience. Customer service skills a must.
