Job Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking experienced Imagery Analyst to join our team in Northern Virginia. Qualified individuals must be self-motivated, hardworking and capable of working on multiple disciplines in support of operations. The ideal candidate will develop solutions to increasingly complex problems, utilizing ingenuity, thoroughness, and practicality, and perform their work with minimal direction and oversight. The selected candidate will be
expected to engage with NGC leadership, external business partners and customers as required.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Detailed data analysis and trending
Analysis of Remote Sensing output
Performing analysis on imagery products
Troubleshooting system anomalies
Serving as the subject matter expert on parts of a complex system
Providing technical recommendations to management and customers
Creating, reviewing, and maintaining critical system documentation
Utilizing a variety of tools to support operational and engineering activities and anomalies
Development of prototype algorithms, as well as software regression testing

The position is normally day shift hours, but there will be periods where off hours work will be required.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), phenomenology, image formation, image science or analysis
15 Years experience with Bachelors degree or 13 Years with Masters
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work well within a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders including factory engineers,
management, sub-contractors, trainees and the customer across geographically diverse locations
U.S. Citizenship required. An active TS/SCI clearance based on current SSBI (within 5 years) is required

Preferred Qualifications:
