Mars is currently recruiting for a Supervisor, Wire Room Operations in our central warehouse. Currently, our expanding warehouse operation services the Northeast Ohio area fulfilling orders for both customer and our branches. As a result of the move into our new, expanded warehouse facility, we have a need to grow our warehouse supervisory team to ensure accurate wire order processing. The Supervisor, Wire Room Operations will manage all aspects of Mars' wire room processes including: - Safety - Wire Cutting Process - Inventory - Infrastructure - Warehouse/Logistics Interface - Continuous Improvement - Manage - Issue Resolution - Teamwork Duties & Responsibilities: 1) Responsible for supervising and enforcing Mars' Safety procedures daily with all employees. 2) Overall management of the Wire Cutting Process including the proper sequencing of orders in priority of cutting, optimization of wire cutting machines and customer delivery schedule. 3) Manage the Inventory of the Wire Room including stock, wire cuts return of reel, jacks, spindles, as well as ensuring a proper inventory of daily use items such as reels, cutting supplies, etc. 4) Actively manage the Infrastructure of the wire room including the placement of reels, adjusting for new/obsolete wire, special cuts, and overall cleanliness of the area. 5) Actively Interface with Warehouse/Logistics to ensure all deliveries are properly marked with shipping labels, product labels, checked by quality control and placed onto the right routes/trucks. 6) Works towards Continuous Improvement through implementation of cost savings, cost avoidance and process improvement opportunities identified throughout the warehouse. 7) Manage a team of approximately 2 people including all scheduling, HR matters, reviews, etc. 8) Act as the main point of contact for Issue Resolution on wire matters with sales, customer, purchasing and warehouse. Work with personnel and staff to ensure timely resolution and corrective action to the issues are implemented and communicated with the customer and staff. 9) Collaborate with all teams and areas in warehouse and fleet operations ensuring on time and efficient delivery of materials to our customers that can only be accomplished via Teamwork . Desired Skills and Experience: A minimum 5 years of progressive responsibilities in warehouse operations, or combination of relevant education and work experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Flexible work hours Aptitude for all aspects of warehouse operations. Demonstrated commitment to safety, customer service and efficiency in past roles. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, accommodating all levels of operational requests and management with a strong personal driver to get things done with the appropriate level of detail.
